Rainbow Warrior Open Boat in Busan, Korea
The Greenpeace ship Rainbow Warrior returns to Busan, Korea, back from Japan, after conducting a radiation monitoring tour off the coast of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant. The crew opens the ship to the public.
The Rainbow Warrior is bringing the lesson on the use of nuclear energy from Fukushima to Korea and carries on with the ongoing No Nukes campaign in East Asia.
The Kori Nuclear Power Complex, the world’s largest nuclear power facility located between Busan and Ulsan, has already seven reactors, and the Korean government is planning to build two additional reactors at the complex.
A recent survey by Greenpeace East Asia Seoul shows that more than half of the Busan population is against the government’s plan for the expansion of the Kori Nuclear Power Complex.
