Allied Chemical Plant Protest in Virginia
Activists protest toxic waste at an Allied Chemical company plant that was spraying its toxic waste onto the soil on land near the James River. Protestors wear white plastic chemical protection suits, gas masks, and googles while walking outdoors around the Allied Chemical plant, into an area contaminated with their waste. This Greenpeace Toxics direct action occurred in Hopewell, VA in October 1983.
