Waste Audit on the Shores of the Curonian Spit (the Baltic Sea) in Russia
Greenpeace Russia monitored plastic pollution on the shores of the Curonian spit in August 2019. The team collected 2416 pieces of garbage, from which 80% of fragments were plastic.
Curonian Spit is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and we need to protect it. Greenpeace Russia demands that the government reduces or bans some types of single-use plastics to tackle the plastic pollution crisis.
