CultureJam vs Oil - Street Art 'Black Gold' in St Petersburg
As part of CultureJammers vs Oil, street artist Alexander Blot depicted 'Black Gold' in St Petersburg, Russia.
Alexander Blot: "We burn nature and ourselves in oil puddles. In the plot, the character holds a stork (the symbol that brings us children - the symbol of our future) and does not let it go. Both of them are smeared with oil that burns, spreading ashes. Tears show sadness and realization of irreversibility of the situation. But it was necessary to realize it before. It is necessary to realize it now, until we all become heroes with an irreversible plot."
