Siberian Forest Fires Aftermath in Russia
A Greenpeace Russia team is documenting forest wildfires in the taiga of the Krasnoyarsk region in Siberia.
State of emergency has been declared in four Siberian provinces. The intensity of forest fires in the region is not decreasing. The 4.3 million hectare of land burning -- an area larger than Denmark -- is contributing significantly to climate change. Since the beginning of the year a total of 13.1 million hectares has burned.
