Indigenous leaders demonstrate at the entrance to the European Parliament, denouncing the Brazilian government's attacks on the environment and refusal to acknowledge the fires that destroyed part of the Amazon this year. They also urged EU figures to stand against the ratification of an EU Mercosul deal on current terms, and promoted the importance of Indigenous peoples' human rights. 

Em mais uma agenda no Parlamento Europeu, hoje as lideranças indígenas se reuniram também com a Comissão Internacional de Cooperação e Desenvolvimento. O objetivo da reunião é o mesmo das demais que tem sido realizadas pelas lideranças com autoridades, a não ratificação do acordo entre a União Europeia e o Mercosul nos termos atuais de forma a garantir os direitos humanos aos povos indígenas.
