World Meat-Free Week Event in Bangkok
Preparation of vegetable sushi.
During World Meat Free Week in Bangkok (17-23 June 2019), Greenpeace Southeast Asia collaborates with Krua.co, a website for food lovers, to organise a "Veggie" talk workshop.
The goal is to push for policies that promote ecological farming and encourage people to reduce meat consumption and turn to consume more vegetable products.
The industrial livestock farming is one of the main causes of climate change due to the release of greenhouse gases. The livestock sector's greenhouse gases are comparable with the emissions from cars, trucks, airplanes and ships all around the world combined.
This activity aims to make people aware of the linkage between livestock production and climate change and to present the benefits of eating primarily plant-based foods.
