President Trump and Prime Minister Trudeau Joint Press Conference
U.S. President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau hold a joint news conference in the East Room of the White House. The two leaders had several meetings including an Oval Office meeting and a roundtable discussion with Women Executives. A joint statement by Greenpeace Executive Directors Annie Leonard and Joanna Kerr said, “The united resistance against Trump crosses global borders. The people of the United States and Canada are committed to defending the rights of Indigenous Peoples, including those impacted by the Dakota Access pipeline and the ever-expanding web of water-poisoning tar sands pipelines crisscrossing the continent."
