Representatives of several NGO's and hundreds of supporters demonstrate in Groningen against the Essent/RWE coal plant in the Eemshaven. With this action, they urge the government to take concrete steps to phase out fossil fuels. Like many scientists and politicians, Greenpeace pleads for closure of all coal plants in the Netherlands and with the outcomes of the COP21 climate conference in Paris this should be a reasonable decision.
