Indigenous Free Land Camp Demonstration in Brasilia
Indigenous people from the Acampamento Terra Livre, march in a peaceful protest to demand the demarcation of their land. The Acampamento Terra Livre (Free Land Camp) is one of the largest mobilisation groups of indigenous people in Brazil.
The same indigenous group two days earlier carried out another demonstration to which the police responded with tear gas, violently scattering the peaceful protest. This second march was received peacefully and the Esplanada dos Ministérios became colourful with indigenous songs and dances.
