Activists and Researchers in Chiloé
Activists on the zodiac in the sea of Chiloé where samples will be taken for research. Greenpeace will be on the island for the second time with a team of experts to determine the causes of environmental disaster affecting the area. In the last month alone, thousands of marine animals including birds, crabs and seals have washed ashore, dead, on Chiloé’s beaches. The call for an investigation comes after approximately five thousand tons of rotting salmon was discharged from salmon farming centers into the ocean on the largest island of the Chiloé Archipelago off the coast of Chile, in the Pacific Ocean.
