“Save the Galaxy” Action at Samsung Electronics HQ in Korea
Greenpeace activists create satirical scenes to show the explosion of the Galaxy Note 7 as well as how the device can be recycled at the front gate of the Samsung Electronics’ headquarters in Suwon. Greenpeace East Asia demands the company to find ways to recycle valuable resources in 4.3 million brand-new Galaxy Note 7 phones. The tech giant has permanently discontinued production of the model after explosions in August due to safety concerns. The action is part of “Save the Galaxy” campaign which calls for the full disclosure of the exact cause of the fault and specific plans to deal with already-manufactured devices and those recalled.
