Forest Conservation Units in the Brazilian Amazon
Biological Reserve of Manicoré, Amazonas state. Preserved forest, without sign of human occupation or any productive activity that would be lost with reduction proposal. In an extremely strategic region for Amazon conservation, Brazilian government can end with one Conservation Unit and reduce by 40% the area of four others. Greenpeace Brazil has flown over the region to document the forest that can be lost with this project, as well as threats and possible interests in the reduction.
