On the night of the 8th to 9th of September, the Greenpeace Russia firefighting team were attacked in their camp in the South of Russia by eight armed men. A Greenpeace Russia staff member, Michael Kreindlin, had suffered a broken nose and a concussion whilst a volunteer from the Trans-Baikal Territory, Andrey Polomoshnov, likely sustained a rib fracture. They were administered medical assistance. The attackers had sliced through tents, damaged vehicles, threw a stun grenade in one of the cars, and stole valuable equipment.
