Protests Following US Withdrawal from the Paris Agreement in Washington D.C.
Protestors take to the streets in Lafayette Park near the White House after President Donald Trump announced his intention to have the U.S. withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement. Greenpeace condemned Trump’s attempt to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement, but affirmed the global community would continue to move forward on climate action. Greenpeace USA Executive Director Annie Leonard said: “This is disgraceful. By withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement, the Trump administration has turned America from a global climate leader into a global climate deadbeat."
