Associate Professor Prinya Thaewanarumitkul, vice-rector of Student Affairs and Learning, Thammasat University showed to Greenpeace the solar rooftops installation for intra-campus electricity generating, with an overall production capacity of 15 megawatts by 2017. The project, part of the 'Sustainable University' framework, generates the highest renewable energy among all universities in Asia and it is ranked the fourth in the world. According to Professor Prinya, academic programs will also include courses on sustainable development and global citizenship education for future generations to cope with climate change and environmental issues.
