Tokyo, 12 April, 2021 – In response to the Japanese government’s plan of discharging radiated water into the Pacific, Greenpeace Japan submitted the opposing petitions to the government and held a joint press conference with other NGOs and Fukushima residents. Greenpeace has gathered 183,754 petitions from Japan and South Korea so far, while many NGOs and citizen groups strongly urge the Japanese government to stop releasing radioactive water.
