Ask Amazon: Why So Much Dirty Energy to Power the Cloud? - Web Video (Square, Subtitled, no CTA)
Amazon, owner of the largest cloud hosting company in the world, is still powering it's massive data centers with fracked gas and dirty coal, which contributes to climate change. In February 2019, Greenpeace rebranded Crystal City, Virginia, future home to Amazon’s HQ2, with a human-sized Alexa to bring attention to the company’s stalled progress towards its 100% renewable energy commitment. Commuters had the chance to ask Alexa about Amazon's energy use and more.
