An extreme heat wave occurred in Israel with record temperatures for the month of May that reached up to 45 Celsius. The heat sparked wildfires in 1023 locations in 3 days. One of them was the village Mevo Modi'im in the central part of Israel where 40 out of 50 of the houses were burned to the ground. Greenpeace Med Israel documented the aftermath of the destruction.
