Beating The Drum For Climate Change in Hamburg
Greenpeace volunteers beat their drums for climate protection in Hamburg. At 11:55 am, the environmentalists call out to all at a countrywide day of action in preparation for the coming World Climate Conference in Poland and the German Coal Commission negotiations. The volunteers beat their drums, saucepans and buckets at concerts in 54 cities around Germany.
At Information stands, the activists hand out brochures about the rallies at the beginning of December and passers-by also have the chance to make their own signs for them. The motto of the rallies is 'Stop coal! Climate Protection Now!’
