Free Land Camp 2019 in Brazil and Solidarity Activities Around the World - Wrap-up Video (Clean 1080x1080)
The Acampamento Terra Livre - ATL (in English: Free Land Camp), happening from April 24th to 26th, 2019, is the main and largest annual assembly of indigenous leaders coming from the five regions of Brazil. Over 4.000 indigenous people, gathered in Brasília, seek to exchange cultural experiences and unify their resistance and fight for their rights, such as the demarcation of their territories, access to health, education and social participation for the many Indigenous Peoples living in Brazil. The ATL has been happening for 15 years in a peaceful way, aiming to give visibility to the indigenous fight for their constitutional rights.
Meanwhile, activists in cities around the world are demonstrating in front of Brazilian embassies to support the demands of Indigenous Peoples from Brazil and to stand with the guardians of the forest.
