Action in France to Protect the Amazon Reef
Greenpeace, together with the organization ANV-Cop21 tinted fountains black in more than 30 towns around France to protest against plans by oil giant Total to drill near the Amazon Reef.
Some protesters daubed themselves with molasses, holding banners reading "The Amazon reef is not an oil well" to denounce the risks that Total poses on the unique ecosystem located off the mouth of the Amazon River.
