14,000 people in Russia signed the petition to show their support for the largest marine sanctuary in the Weddell Sea. The Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) will meet from 22 October in Hobart, Australia to decide on the creation of a protected area in Antarctica.
