Grandmother Gabi Duigu at CEDA action, Sydney
76 year-old grandmother Gabi Duigi from Cammeray takes part in a protest urging NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian to kick coal for clean energy after eight years of inaction.
Gaby later confronted Premier Berejiklian as she took the stage inside the CEDA economic forum.
“I wanted to send a message to the Premier because the climate is in crisis. Gladys Berejiklian and her government have had eight years to deal with the problem and have done nothing,” Gabi Duigu said.
“There’s only one month to go until the New South Wales election and the Liberals and Gladys Berejiklian, still haven’t come up with a plan to replace our ageing and increasingly unreliable coal power stations with clean, modern sources of energy."
