Protect the Antarctic Petition at the Norwegian Embassy in Buenos Aires
Greenpeace visited the Norwegian Embassy to deliver the message of 2.6 million people calling to create the largest protected area on Earth: an Antarctic Ocean Sanctuary in the Weddell Sea.
As a member government of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR), this movement urges Norway/ Russia to support the adoption of the Weddell Sea Marine Protected Area at CCAMLR’s Thirty-seventh Meeting in Hobart, Australia, running 22 October - 2 November 2018.
