Greenpeace is on a three-month expedition to the Antarctic to carry out scientific research,
including seafloor submarine dives and sampling for plastic pollution, to highlight the urgent
need for the creation of a 1.8 million square kilometre Antarctic Ocean Sanctuary to
safeguard species like whales and penguins.

Javier Bardem 00:07 – 00:19 This is the experience of a lifetime, to be surrounded by ten,
twelve whales and seeing them feeding themselves with the krill.
Carlos Bardem - 00:19 – 00:28 And the birds going down for the same krill, it’s amazing. It
shows the complexity of the ecosystem.
Javier Bardem - 00:29 – 00:59 We have to preserve the krill for the creatures, because those
creatures create all of this. And if we succeed to protect this area then they will keep being
alive and fed and being in their natural environment, rather than us creating chaos.
