Charoen Wat-aksorn was the leading environmental activist against coal-fired power plant projects in Prachuap Khiri Khan province of Thailand. As the famous saying goes: “Ten killed, a hundred thousand more will rise,” Charon was murdered over 13 years but his legacy lives on. Prachuap Khiri Khan communities are renowned for their strong environmental movement against destructive industrial projects. Charoen Wat-aksorn is the biggest inspiration for them.
