Bike for 100 Percent Renewable Energy - Bo Nok
Cyclist from the 'Bike for 100% Renewable Energy' ride in Bo Nok next to the statue entitled 'Thoranong na Thoranee' ('Pride of our land') erected in the memory of environmentalist Charoen Wat-akson who was murdered on June 21st 2004 right after successfully convincing the government to halt a power plant project in the region.
3 days after leaving Bangkok and after riding more than 270km, Bo Nok marks their second remarkable stopover as part of Break Free Movement to end the age of coal. The 35 cyclists will meet Greenpeace’s most iconic ship, the Rainbow Warrior, in Songkhla province on 16 May.
