Forest West of Stor-Gravberget in Sweden
Aerial view of forest in the Stor-Gravberget area near the town of Ånge, in Jämtland County, Sweden.
This natural forest is marked for logging, despite being located in a High Value Forest Landscape, which means the area has been identified by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency as having particularly high ecological preservation values.
Biodiversity is threatened by massive habitat loss, but logging companies continue to expand into the last remaining forest areas critical for biodiversity in Sweden and other parts of the boreal forest.

Forest Documentation West of Stor-Gravberget in Sweden
Greenpeace is documenting and doing inventory on SCA (Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget) owned forest, west of Stor-Gravberget in Jämtland.
Forests in Sweden are under constant threat by logging companies like SCA, which is Northern Europe's largest private forest owner with 2.6 million hectares of forest. In 2017, the company (SCA) was divided into two different companies: Essity with tissue and hygiene products and the forest company SCA.
SCA supply pulp to Essity which makes some of the worlds best known brands of toilet paper and tissue. These brands are directly linked to the destruction of some of the most critical forest areas left in the Great Northern Forest.
