Protest against Anti-Conspiracy Law in Tokyo, Shibuya
Greenpeace protested against the new anti-conspiracy law that became effective on 11th July 2017 and which could have an impact to shrink democracy space in Japanese civil society by monitoring and regulating freedom of speech. Greenpeace staff members disguised as zombies with the banner stating “freedom never dies” to show our spirit for protecting freedom of speech and democracy against the new law. The protest took in place at the heart of Tokyo, its capital to engage young audience to raise awareness on the issue.
