Polar Bear Hijacks Coke’s Xmas Advertising in London - News Access
In the latest part of Greenpeace’s global campaign to get Coca Cola to reduce their enormous plastic footprint, Greenpeace UK’s life-size polar bear puppet, Paula, turned up in Piccadilly Circus, London, to hijack Coke’s newly upgraded giant advertising screen.
At 3 pm a snow machine arrived with a 5m long, 3m high Christmas present in ‘Choke’ branded wrapping paper which, when opened, revealed Paula on top of an ice floe polluted with discarded Coke plastic bottles. The event also included a Xmas choir singing variations on Coke advertising jingles.
