Freedom Island Waste Clean-up and Brand Audit in the Philippines
Environmental groups including Greenpeace carry out a waste clean-up activity at Freedom Island, in Manila Bay, just off the coast of Parañaque in Metro Manila, Philippines.
Freedom island is an ecotourism area which contains a mangrove forest and swamps providing a habitat for many migratory bird species from different countries such as China, Japan and Siberia.
As part of the clean-up, the groups will conduct a waste audit to identify what type of plastic waste ends up in our oceans.
