Make-a-Thon & SOS Project Launch Jakarta - B-ROLL
'Save Our Sounds (SOS)' project invited 25 urban creatives to a 2-day Make-A-Thon. The participants joined a design-thinking workshop in Jakarta to produce the "SOS experience" with the winning project to be implemented by the team at Thailand's Wonderfruit festival in December, in collaboration with the Rainforest Pavilion, where Indonesian DJ Ninda Felina will play her new music track 'Birds of Paradise.'
In July, the Indonesian DJ joined Greenpeace for a 10-day trek throughout the Papuan rainforest to collect, with the help of professional field recordist Mark Roberts, different sounds that will be mixed into her new music track. The SOS project, and partnership, was born from a mutual desire to capture the unique sounds of pristine rainforest. The campaign aims to raise public awareness of the dangers that threaten our forests.
The Make-A-Thon, part of SOS project, is supported by Greenpeace, BBDO Singapore, and Krowd, Indonesian collaborative platform for creative talents. Wonderfruit is an international arts, music, and lifestyle festival which encourages sustainable and environmentally friendly living.
