'Save Our Sounds' project at Wonderfruit Festival in Thailand
A Greenpeace volunteer works on the WonderRoost, a papier Maché art installation for the Rainforest Pavilion, at Wonderfruit Festival, Thailand. The giant bird heads bring unique sounds from West Papua's pristine tropical rainforest.
The mobile WonderRoost is a collaboration between the Greenpeace project, Save our Sounds, and a team of four young Indonesian creatives. The Cendrawasih team participated in September's SOS Makethon in Jakarta, which combined design thinking with storytelling to develop fun ideas for sound experiences to bring to this festival. The Save our Sounds project is exploring different ways to use sounds of our forests to help save them for this and future generations.
