Greenpeace Russia's Independent Study on Air Quality in Samara
Air pollution is one of the most serious environmental problems in large cities. To tackle it, Greenpeace is conducting the international campaign Clean Air Now. Many people still think that industry is the main cause of air pollution in large cities. But the reality is different: 80-90% of air pollution is caused by urban transport. Greenpeace initiates an independent study of air quality in different cities of Europe and Russia to draw attention to this problem and explain its real causes.
In the picture a Greenpeace member carries a baby stroller with a teddy bear and a air pollution measuring tool.
