The spring burning of dry grass in Russia is a big problem with which forest and fire departments have been struggling unsuccessfully for years. The fire extinguishing expedition crew of Greenpeace Russia came to the Astrakhan Biosphere Reserve to protect valuable areas from fire, do workshops with children and help Astrakhan volunteers.
