Assateague National Shoreline and State Park, Maryland

Replenishing the marshlands of Assateague Island has become a necessity to combat the effects of erosion. In addition in replenishing what is lost, the NPS is also removing any invasive species to strengthen the resilience of the marsh.
The marsh is home to the smaller species of fish, fowl and other organisms.
