Activist against TransCanada Pipeline on his South Dakota Property
Don Tisher poses for pictures near where the TransCanada pipeline runs through his land in Marshall County, South Dakota. A leak in the pipeline near his property was detected November 16, 2017. The pipeline leaked 210,000 gallons of crude oil onto agricultural land, one of the largest on-shore oil spills in the U.S. since 2010. The pipeline moves oil from eastern Alberta, Canada to Oklahoma and Illinois. An investigation into the cause of the leak is ongoing.
