Reindeer in Yamal Peninsula
A herd of reindeer belonging to Nenets people. The indigenous Nenets people are reindeer herders and move every 3 or 4 days so that their herds do not over graze the ground. The entire region and its inhabitants are under heavy threat from global warming as temperatures increase and Russia’s ancient permafrost melts.
