At the 31st of May Greenpeace activists set the clock of the Domtoren in Utrecht at five before twelve (to be on the verge of disaster) to show we have to take action now. They also hang a banner reading 'Help ons klimaat niet naar de kolen', which translates to English as 'Don't help our climate to the coals'. With this protest Greenpeace wants to make clear that energy suppliers don't give a damn about all the concerns regarding climate change. The energy suppliers are near to building five new coal-fired power plants causing enormous CO2 emissions. Greenpeace thinks this is unacceptable and urges to change to clean alternatives, like sun, wind and biomass.
