Greenpeace flies a 10m x 4m banner from the Spire of Dublin, calling on the Irish Government to "Ban the Bulb". They ask the Environment Minister, John Gormley, to announce a law setting mandatory energy standards for light bulbs from January 1, 2010 which would mean phasing out incandescent bulbs and replacing them with energy efficient models.
