Toxics Action at Novartis Headquarters in Basel Switzerland
Greenpeace activists unloaded a truck with debris in front of the main entrance of the Novartis headquarters. With this action Greenpeace wants to draw attention to the unresolved situation of the chemical dump sites in the Basel region. These dump sites run over and pollute the environment, day after day. Still, Novartis, Ciba, Syngenta & Co., and the IGDRB (Interessengemeinschaft Deponiesicherheit Region Basel) do everything to ensure that the groundwater contamination at the landfill is trivialized rather than taking the problem seriously.
