Climate Action at Save the World Awards in Austria
The audience attending the Save the World Awards ceremony while Greenpeace activists hang a banner reading "Energy [R]evolution Climate Solution" behind the stage.
The event takes place at the Zwentendorf nuclear power station, which was built in the 1970s but never used. A recent project is turning the unused power station into the largest solar power station in Austria.
Greenpeace was honored to be receiving one of the prizes for its global campaign to protect the climate. Thomas Henningsen coordinator of Greenpeace's international climate work, collected the award in person.
