With a chemical waste dump as a giant garnished cake Greenpeace activists protested at the Novartis General Meeting against the unresolved problem of chemical waste.
Greenpeace urged the shareholders to help Novartis with the clean up of the landfills and asked Novartis CEO Daniel Vasella, for a total clean up of the hazardous chemical waste dumps around Basel. The miniature banners read in different languages: "Chemical waste; please clean it up!"
