In protest against the decision that the cultivation of genetically modified wheat at the ETH research institute in Lindau has been given the green light, Greenpeace activists climbed on the roof of the university. A huge banner with the German text "Kein ETH-Gentech-Weizen in Lindau" (or: "No ETH-GE wheat in Lindau") is hanging from the dome of the ETH headquarters in Zurich.
Residents of Lindau and Greenpeace activists therefore now go to court to fight the BUWAL decision. Directly affected residents are supported by Greenpeace during the trial against the outdoor GE testing field.
