Choi Sum and Pesticide Bottles in Toxin Contaminated Area in China
A Greenpeace volunteer is displaying in one hand Chinese 'Choi Sum' and in the other hand some discarded pesticide bottles found in a stream in Xinlou village.
Greenpeace believes that the high levels of toxins found in water in the area is due to the over usage of pesticides and is potentially harmful to humans. Many bottles of Chinese manufactured 'Butachlor' and other types of pesticide were found discarded in the stream.
