The team intercept the MS Ceynowa, a ship suspected of carrying wood from Matadi, The Democratic Republic of the Congo. The ship and its cargo are bound for Antwerp, Belgium. Activists boarded the ship and hung banners reading "Save Congo's Forest." The Congo basin of Africa is home to the second largest rainforest in the world, with around half existing in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Beyond environmental impacts, logging in the region exacerbates poverty and leads to social conflicts. Greenpeace is calling on the Belgian government to make the protection of the African rainforest a priority.
