© Greenpeace / Ex-Press

Climate Solar Energy Press Conference in Zurich
The governmental support program of solar energy failed completely. Therefore the trade unions VPOD (Syndicate of Public Service), SMUV (Union of Industry, Trade, Services), GBI (Union of Construction and Industry) and the environmental organization Greenpeace organized today at a joint press conference. They demand that in the next five years 10'000 photovoltaic plants and 100'000 solar heat plants shall be installed in Switzerland.
The closing of ranks between Greenpeace and the trade unions makes sense: A study of Greenpeace which was also presented today proves that this solar program creates thousands of environmetally friendly jobs in the crisis-ridden building industries and energy industries.
