Forests Action at Frischeis in Austria
Greenpeace activists chained themselves to a 400 year old tree stump from Clayoquot sound outside the Austrian timber company Frischeis. Activists also chained themselves to the front gates preventing the movement of trucks. The stump was felled by MacMillan Bloedel in 1988. Frischeis is one of the biggest importers of timber from Canada.
