Greenpeace has organized an extraordinary elephant caravan known as Chang[e] Caravan, which starts in at Khao Yai and will end in Bangkok just as the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) talks begin in the city. The groups are demanding for an ambitious, fair and binding global treaty, as well as for funds for forest protection and climate change mitigation, to ensure the future of the people of Southeast Asia, identified as among the most vulnerable and least prepared regions to face climate change impacts.
